A Somatic Revolution…
Are you noticing it? A Somatic Revolution, a desire for a quiet homecoming, a return to the realization that we are not just thinking beings, but sacred, complex bio-electric whole entities. For so long, we have lived in and from the brain, drifting into a state of disconnection that has led us away from the very soil and spirit that grew us. There is a shift - do you feel it? We are listening deeper, to hear our bodies. We are feeling and hearing the divine, the earth, and our ancestors with our whole bodies. A return to hearing, feeling and understanding in the language of sensation. The universal language every living being speaks, frequency.
This isn't just poetic—it is physiological. Our "gut feelings" are powered by the vagus nerve, a literal highway of intelligence that connects our brain to our heart and gut. When we feel a "ping" of resonance or a "clench" of dissonance, we are receiving high-speed data long before the conscious mind can catch up. This is our biological compass, a tool refined over time to help us navigate toward safety, connection and what is life-giving. By tuning into the "Vagal tone," we move out of the static of fight-or-flight and into a state of rest and digest where we can settle into hearing the subtle frequency of our own souls.
This frequency is deep and ancient, woven into the fabric of our DNA through epigenetics. We carry resilience, survival instincts, and the prayers of our ancestors in deep our marrow. When we stand barefoot on the earth, we aren't just touching dirt; we are synchronizing our heartbeats with the Schumann Resonance—the Earth’s natural electromagnetic pulse. This "re-earthing" clears the frantic electrical noise of modern life, allowing us to feel the presence of our animal allies and the quiet guidance of those who walked before us. We become like a well-tuned instrument, capable of sensing which paths are in harmony with the Divine.
Sometimes the static of life becomes too thick, and our bodies become "stuck" in old patterns. The ritual of bodywork and massage light the path of realignment. Intentional touch communicates directly with the nervous system, inviting fascia—the connective tissue that holds our physical and emotional history—to release its tight grip. On the massage table, we aren't just relaxing; we are clearing and opening lines of communication. As a practitioner’s hands move, we hear and feel sudden sighs, shifts in temperature moments where the body is speaking, shedding inherited weights and recalibrating us to our true, resonant frequency.
To live this way is to treat every decision as a conversation with source. It is a commitment to stay in your skin, trusting that the still, small voice of God often speaks through a softening in your chest or a sudden clarity in your breath. By choosing the people, the work, and the environments that make our spirits feel lighter and grounded, we honor our lineage and our creator. We stop striving to find our way and instead allow the resonance of the Earth to carry us home. This is the revolution: the realization that when you are truly listening deeply to the innate wisdom of your body, you are fully, in the presence of everything that ever was and will be.
To my equestrian friends : Your herd acts as a living extension of your own nervous system, grounding your "re-earthing" and reminding you that the language of sensation is best spoken in the company of those who never forgot it. Horses are masters of bio-electric language; they are walking resonators that reflect our internal state before we even realize we’ve shifted.
Messages from my herd - From Desi: She is healing from her tendon injury and through this experience with her - her and I are not just practicing patience—we are synchronizing with a different clock. Desi reminds us that the body cannot be rushed into "hearing." Just as fascia requires a slow, sustained melting to release, the soul requires a stillness that refuses to perform. Through Desi, I am learning that waiting isn’t a void; it’s a sacred, active state of presence where the most subtle frequencies become audible.
From Random, disrupts the rigid "brain-led" plans we often carry. By teaching to shift perspective and release expectations, Random is guiding me out of my analytical mind and into curiosity and exploration. Expectations are just mental filters that create static; when you drop them, you clear the line to receive what is actually happening and being offered in the moment. Random is teaching me that when we stop demanding the world look a certain way or expecting a certain outcome based on preconceived perspectives, we finally become flexible enough to dance in joy with the divine. To be with Random is to feel the freedom and magic of your inner child - it is energy woven in magic and pure loving potential.
Amen aho.
